ISHUP

ISHUP is a scheme of the Government of India that provides interest subsidy on home loans taken by economically weaker sections (EWS) and lower income groups (LIG) for construction/purchase of houses. The scheme was launched in 2007 and is being implemented through National Housing Bank (NHB) and Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO). The scheme provides interest subsidy on home loans up to Rs. 1.5 lakh for a period of 10 years.
