TLC

TLC is a measure of the total amount of air that can be held in the lungs at any given time. It is the sum of the inspiratory capacity (IC), the expiratory reserve volume (ERV), the residual volume (RV), and the tidal volume (TV). TLC is an important measure of lung health and is used to diagnose and monitor a variety of respiratory conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and interstitial lung disease. It is also used to assess the effectiveness of treatments for these conditions.
