TR is a state in northeastern India. It is bordered by Bangladesh to the north, south, and west, and the Indian states of Assam and Mizoram to the east. The state covers 10,491 km2 (4,051 sq mi) and is the third-smallest state in the country. Agartala is the capital of Tripura. The state is home to several national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, including the Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, the Gumti Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Rowa Wildlife Sanctuary. The state is also home to several tribes, including the Tripuri, Reang, Jamatia, and Halam. The economy of Tripura is largely dependent on agriculture, forestry, and tourism. The state is also home to several industries, including food processing, rubber, and pharmaceuticals.
