TT

TT is a vaccine used to prevent tetanus, a serious and potentially fatal infection caused by the bacterium Clostridium tetani. The vaccine is made from a form of the toxin produced by the bacteria, which has been weakened or "inactivated" so that it cannot cause disease. It is usually given as a series of injections, with boosters given every 10 years. The vaccine is highly effective in preventing tetanus, and is recommended for all children and adults. It is also recommended for people who have not been vaccinated previously, or who have not had a booster in the last 10 years.
