IME

An IME is a computer program that allows users to input characters and symbols not found on a standard keyboard. IMEs are commonly used to input Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters, but can also be used to input other languages, such as Arabic, Hebrew, and Hindi. IMEs are used in many operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. IMEs allow users to type characters by drawing them on the screen, selecting them from a list, or typing in a phonetic spelling. IMEs also provide features such as auto-completion, spell-checking, and word prediction.
